Target Information

Bovine Peptidyl-Prolyl Cis-Trans Isomerase-Like 1 is encoded by the PPIL-1 gene in cattle. PPIL1, also known as Pin1, is an evolutionarily conserved enzyme. It specifically catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of phosphorylated serine/threonine-proline (pSer/Thr-Pro) motifs. By doing so, it induces conformational changes in its substrates, impacting their biological activity and interactions. Pin1 is widely overexpressed and/or overactivated in cancer. It plays a critical role in tumor initiation and progression by regulating substrate activity, protein degradation, and nucleus-cytoplasmic distribution.

Target/Biomarker Bovine PPIL-1
Target Synonym peptidylprolyl isomerase like 1; peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase-like 1; PPIase; peptidylprolyl isomerase (cyclophilin)-like 1; rotamase PPIL1
