Specifications
Target Information
NADH dehydrogenase [ubiquinone] iron-sulfur protein 2, mitochondrial is another subunit of complex I in the mitochondrial electron transport chain. MT-ND2 contains iron-sulfur clusters that facilitate electron transfer within the complex, contributing to the overall function of NADH dehydrogenase. It is found within the mitochondrial inner membrane. It is encoded by the bovine gene NDUFS2. Methylation of arginine 85 of NDUFS2 is required for assembly of complex I.
