Target Information
C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 2 (CXCR2), also known as IL8RB, is encoded by the porcine CXCR2 gene. CXCR2 is a critical target for the suppression of neutrophilic inflammation. It plays an important role in the modulation of neutrophil functionality during influenza. In a porcine model, targeting CXCR2 suppressed immunopathology by inhibiting excessive neutrophil influx, NETosis and ECH accumulation in the infected lung.
