Target Information
Rabbit Bone Morphogenetic Protein 4 (BMP4) is a multifunctional signaling molecule that plays a crucial role in bone formation and repair. As a member of the TGF-β superfamily, BMP4 induces the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells into osteoblasts and chondrocytes, promoting bone and cartilage formation. In rabbits, BMP4 has been extensively studied for its potential in repairing critical bone defects. For example, a study using BMP4-loaded nanoparticles demonstrated significant bone regeneration and repair in rabbit radial bone defects. BMP4 also plays a role in various developmental processes, including tooth development and limb formation. Its ability to induce bone formation makes BMP4 a promising candidate for bone tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
