Target Information
Mouse Protein O-GlcNAcase (OGA) is an enzyme that removes O-linked β-N-acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc) modifications from proteins. O-GlcNAc is a post-translational modification involved in various cellular processes, including gene expression, metabolism, and signal transduction. OGA regulates the dynamic addition and removal of O-GlcNAc moieties, modulating protein activity and function. Dysregulation of OGA activity has been implicated in diseases such as diabetes, cancer, and neurodegenerative disorders. OGA influences cellular metabolism and the response to oxidative stress.
