Target Information

Mouse Fibulin 2 (Fbln2) is an extracellular matrix protein involved in tissue development and maintenance. It interacts with other matrix components like collagen and fibronectin, contributing to tissue integrity and elasticity. Fbln2 plays a role in vascular development, particularly in the formation of elastic fibers in blood vessels. In mouse models, Fbln2 deficiency leads to vascular abnormalities and impaired wound healing. Additionally, Fbln2 is implicated in bone formation and remodeling, highlighting its importance in skeletal health. Its functions in tissue development and repair make Fibulin 2 a key player in maintaining overall tissue homeostasis.
