Target Information

Canine C-X-C Motif Chemokine 16 (CXCL16) is a member of the CXC chemokine family that signals through the CXCR6 receptor. CXCL16 plays a role in attracting specific lymphocyte subsets during inflammation. It is predominantly expressed in epithelial cells and antigen-presenting cells such as dendritic cells. The interaction between CXCL16 and CXCR6 is crucial for recruiting and maintaining tissue-resident memory T cells (TRM), which is important for tumor vaccination therapy. In veterinary medicine, CXCL16 is a potential target or biomarker for cancer immunotherapy.
