Target Information

Nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) is a transcription factor essential for numerous biological processes, such as immune response, inflammation, cell growth and survival, and development. It is vital for health, and abnormal activation of NF-κB is linked to the development of various autoimmune, inflammatory, and malignant disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis, atherosclerosis, inflammatory bowel diseases, multiple sclerosis, and malignant tumors. In rabbit keratin-forming cells, NF-κB-associated nuclear proteins (e.g., Sp1) bind to specific promoters and regulate the expression of the K3 keratin gene. This regulation is essential for keratinocyte differentiation.
