Target Information

Mouse Immunoglobulin Lambda-Like Polypeptide 1 (IGLL1) is a surrogate light-chain component essential for early B-cell development. Expressed in pro-B and pre-B cells, it pairs with VpreB to form the Igλ-like surrogate light chain, enabling assembly and surface expression of the pre-B-cell receptor. This receptor signals clonal expansion and immunoglobulin gene rearrangement, ensuring progression to mature B lymphocytes. IGLL1 is expressed in bone marrow and fetal liver, serving as a reliable marker for B-lineage commitment. Antibodies against IGLL1 allow precise tracking of early B-cell differentiation in mouse hematopoietic and immunological models.
