Its four-helix bundle presents a unique, species-restricted epitope ideal for antibody generation; anti-CSF-1 immunoreagents quantify both secreted and membrane-bound forms in serum, bone-marrow supernatants and fixed tissues without cross-reacting with GM-CSF or IL-34, providing a precise read-out of myeloid lineage regulation.
