Target Information
Mouse HAUS augmin-like complex subunit 7 (HAUS7, Dgt7) is a 63 kDa microtubule-interacting protein whose N-terminal calponin-homology domain and C-terminal α-helix bundle bridge γ-tubulin ring complexes to pre-existing spindle microtubules, driving centrosome-independent microtubule amplification during mitosis. A solvent-exposed 16-aa "KVE" loop (aa 245-260) between the CH domain and coiled-coil folds into a β-hairpin unique among mouse HAUS subunits, presenting a conformational epitope preserved after fixation. Affinity-purified antibodies targeting this loop trace native HAUS7 in centrosomes, spindle microtubules, and midbodies of dividing fibroblasts and neuronal progenitors, delivering crisp punctate staining and single-band clarity on immunoblots with no cross-reaction to other augmin complex members.
