Target Information

Alpha-crystallin B chain is encoded by the CRYAB gene in pigs. CRYAB belongs to the small heat shock protein (sHSP) family. It functions as a molecular chaperone, primarily binding to misfolded proteins to prevent protein aggregation. Additionally, CRYAB inhibits apoptosis and contributes to intracellular architecture. It is a molecular chaperone that regulates the tumor microenvironment and affects tumor prognosis in certain cancers.
