Target Information

In mouse models, D-Dimer is chiefly involved in thrombosis and fibrinolysis, inflammatory response, disease diagnosis and prognosis evaluation, and the regulation of the fibrinolytic system. As a fibrin degradation product, D-Dimer reflects the fibrinolytic system's activity. Its concentration serves as a crucial indicator for assessing thrombosis and fibrinolysis states in these models. The generation of D-Dimer is intricately linked to the fibrinolytic system's activity, where the absence of plasminogen activators (like PAI-1) results in heightened fibrinolytic activity and elevated D-Dimer levels. Additionally, D-Dimer may participate in other pathophysiological processes; for instance, in a lung injury model, increased D-Dimer levels might be associated with enhanced fibrinolytic system activation.
