Target Information

Leukocyte Cell-Derived Chemotaxin-2 (LECT2), also known as Chondromodulin-II (ChM-II), is a multifunctional secreted protein involved in various physiological and pathological processes. Initially identified as a chemokine mediating neutrophil migration, LECT2 has diverse functions. It is also known as chondromodulin-II due to its role in promoting chondrocyte proteoglycan synthesis and cartilage growth. Bovine Leukocyte Cell-Derived Chemotaxin-2 is encoded by the LECT2 gene in cattle. The deduced amino acid sequence of human LECT2 shows an 86% identity to bovine LECT2.

Target/Biomarker Bovine LECT2
Target Synonym leukocyte cell derived chemotaxin 2; leukocyte cell-derived chemotaxin-2; LECT-2; bChM-II; bLECT2; cell-derived; chemotaxin 2; chM-II; chondromodulin II
