Mouse Complement Component 3a (C3a) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

In mice, C3a functions in various capacities, including the regulation of blood pressure, inflammatory responses, neuroprotection, allergic reactions, tumor growth, and liver regeneration. In a melanoma model, the presence of C3aR expression was found to enhance voluntary motor behavior in mice and influence tumor development and growth by altering immune and inflammatory responses. Studies on liver regeneration revealed that C5-deficient mice experienced severe liver regeneration issues, but supplementation with C5 or C5a significantly improved liver regeneration. In a cerebral ischemia-reperfusion model, inhibiting C3a demonstrated a neuroprotective effect. Research indicates that an ongoing increase in C3a levels is linked to oxidative stress and brain cell hypoxia/glucose deprivation, and C3a inhibitors can mitigate these pathological changes.
