Target Information

Ligilactobacillus salivarius is a Gram-positive bacterium that frequently colonizes the mucous membranes of the digestive tracts in humans and animals, including birds. As a member of the lactic acid bacteria group, it produces lactic acid, which acidifies the intestinal environment and restricts the growth of harmful intestinal microflora. Additionally, L. salivarius can produce other antimicrobial substances, such as bacteriocins and hydrogen peroxide.
