Target Information

Interlrukin 8 (IL8) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that can be induced by factors like pathogens. In chicken macrophages infected with Salmonella Enteritidis, sodium butyrate significantly reduced inflammatory cytokines including IL8, which could reduce the invasion process of the pathogen.
