Iduronate 2-sulfatase (IDS) is a sulfatase enzyme encoded by the IDS gene in chickens. It catalyses hydrolysis of the 2-sulfate groups of the L-iduronate 2-sulfate units of dermatan sulfate, heparan sulfate and heparin.
