Target Information
Bovine Ubiquitin is encoded by the Ub gene in cattle. Ubiquitin is a small regulatory protein found in most tissues of eukaryotic organisms. It is possibly one of the components in milk reducing the risk of cancer. Ubiquitin's versatility makes it a fundamental player in cellular regulation and homeostasis. Ubiquitylation involves three main steps: activation, conjugation, and ligation, performed by ubiquitin-activating enzymes (E1s), ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes (E2s), and ubiquitin ligases (E3s).
