Target Information

Doppel, a prion-like protein, has recently been rediscovered as a tumor endothelial cell (TEC)-specific surface marker with uncertain functions. It contains domains similar to those of cellular prions (PrP) and shares a 25% structural homology with PrP. Bovine Prion-Like Protein Doppel is encoded by the PRND gene in cattle. It is an evolutionarily related paralogue of prion, and is involved in sperm maturation and capacitation.

Target/Biomarker Bovine PRND
