Target Information
Myosin Light Chain 1/3, also known as skeletal muscle isoform, is a protein encoded by the MYL1 gene in cattle. It is associated with muscle development. Myosin Light Chain 1/3 is a non-regulatory myosin light chain required for proper formation and maintenance of myofibers, ensuring appropriate muscle function. It is found in fast skeletal muscle fibers. Myosin Light Chain 1/3 is part of the myosin family, composed of two heavy chains, two nonphosphorylatable alkali light chains, and two phosphorylatable regulatory light chains.
