Target Information

Betaine, a trimethyl derivative of the amino acid glycine, is a metabolite found in both plant and animal tissues. In animals, it is produced through the oxidation of choline or derived from dietary sources. Supplementing pigs and poultry with betaine has shown to support the intestinal tract by mitigating osmotic stress during conditions like diarrhea or coccidiosis.
