Target Information

Tilmicosin is a macrolide antibiotic used in veterinary medicine to treat and prevent respiratory diseases, such as bovine respiratory disease (BRD) in cattle and swine respiratory disease in pigs. Its use is limited to veterinary prescription and is administered via injection or in medicated feed or water. The food safety concern with tilmicosin is the potential for its residues to remain in the meat of treated animals.
