Target Information
Rabbit Interleukin-10 (IL10) is a multifunctional cytokine with potent anti-inflammatory properties. It is produced by various immune cells, including Th2 cells, macrophages, and dendritic cells. IL10 inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1, IL-6, IFN-γ, and TNF-α, thereby reducing inflammation. In rabbits, IL10 has been shown to have significant anti-inflammatory effects in models of acute colitis, where it improved macroscopic scores of inflammation and decreased tissue myeloperoxidase levels. Additionally, IL10 plays a crucial role in regulating immune responses and maintaining tissue homeostasis. Its ability to modulate immune cell activity and promote tissue repair makes IL10 a valuable target for research in inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
