Target Information
Mouse Troponin I, Cardiac Muscle (Tnni3) is a critical regulatory protein in the cardiac muscle, playing a key role in the contraction and relaxation of heart muscle cells. It is specifically expressed in cardiomyocytes and is involved in the regulation of muscle contraction by binding to actin and inhibiting the interaction between actin and myosin in the absence of calcium. In mouse models, Tnni3 is essential for maintaining normal cardiac function and has been implicated in various cardiac diseases.
