Target Information
Mouse Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (Egfr) is a receptor tyrosine kinase involved in regulating cell proliferation, differentiation, and development. It is expressed in various tissues, including the alimentary system, brain, integumental system, limbs, and respiratory system. Egfr binds to ligands such as EGF and TGF-α, activating signaling pathways like Ras/MAPK, PI3K/Akt, and PLCγ1/PKC, which promote cell growth and survival. It is implicated in diseases such as cancer, psoriasis, and neurodegenerative disorders. In cancer, Egfr overexpression is linked to tumor progression and resistance to chemotherapy. Egfr is a therapeutic target in various cancers and other diseases.
