Target Information

Stem cell factor (SCF), also known as KITLG, is a cytokine that binds to the c-kit receptor (CD117). SCF can exist as both a transmembrane protein and a soluble protein. It plays an important role in the hematopoietic process of embryonic development. In addition, it can also promote the adhesion, migration, proliferation, and survival of mast cells. In a previous research, KITLG was considered to be a candidate gene controlling the stripe pattern of Rhode Island Red chicks.

User Note

Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Avoid mixing by vortexing or pipetting. Reconstitute in 20mM Tris, 150mM NaCl (pH8.0) to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL. Do not vortex. Aliquote the reconstituted solution to minimise freeze-thaw cycles.
