Target Information
Mouse tumor-necrosis-factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) is a 24 kDa type-II trans-membrane glycoprotein that targets death receptors DR4 and DR5 on transformed or virus-infected cells, forming a homotrimer which recruits FADD and caspase-8 to trigger extrinsic apoptosis. Its conserved receptor-binding TNF-homology domain presents a unique, species-restricted trimeric epitope ideal for antibody generation; anti-TRAIL immunoreagents detect membrane-bound and soluble forms in serum, tissue homogenates and cultured cells without cross-reacting with other TNF-family ligands, providing a precise read-out of death-receptor signaling and immune surveillance.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
