Target Information

Mouse Protein Disulfide Isomerase A4 (PDIA4) is an endoplasmic-reticulum resident enzyme that catalyzes disulfide-bond formation, isomerization, and reduction in nascent proteins. It is ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels in secretory tissues such as liver, pancreas, and kidney. PDIA4 functions as a molecular chaperone, ensuring correct folding of substrates and preventing aggregation under oxidative stress. As a key component of the protein-folding machinery, PDIA4 is an important target for studies of ER stress, proteostasis, and secretory pathway disorders.
