Target Information

Mouse laminin β3 is a 180 kDa short-arm β-chain whose N-terminal LN module and four LE repeats anchor laminin-332 to α3γ3 in epithelial basement membranes, enabling hemidesmosome adhesion. A solvent-exposed 16-aa "KVE" loop (aa 520-535) between LE2 and LE3 folds into a β-hairpin unique among mouse laminin β isoforms, presenting a conformational epitope preserved after fixation. Affinity-purified antibodies targeting this loop trace native laminin β3 in tongue mucosa, skin basement membrane, and renal collecting-duct epithelia, delivering crisp linear staining and single-band clarity on immunoblots with no cross-reaction to laminin β1 or β2.
