Target Information

Mouse Chorionic Gonadotropin Alpha Polypeptide (CGα) is a subunit of the glycoprotein hormone chorionic gonadotropin (CG). It forms a dimer with the beta subunit to produce the biologically active hormone, which plays a critical role in maintaining pregnancy by stimulating progesterone production in the corpus luteum. CGα is also a component of other glycoprotein hormones, such as luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), contributing to reproductive functions. As a key component of these hormones, CGα is an important target for studying reproductive biology and related disorders.
