Mouse Prohibitin (PHB) ELISA Kit-Sandwich

In the nucleus, prohibitin acts as a transcriptional co-regulator and mediates transcriptional repression by nuclear hormone receptors through the recruitment of histone deacetylases. It functions as an estrogen receptor (ER)-selective coregulator, enhancing the inhibitory effects of antiestrogens and suppressing estrogen activity. Prohibitin competes with NCOA1 for the modulation of ER transcriptional activity. It plays an inhibitory role in cell proliferation, particularly in the development of mouse follicles, where its expression is linked to cell differentiation and apoptosis. In mouse ovaries, prohibitin expression significantly increases during follicular development and degeneration, especially in degenerating follicles, where its expression level is closely associated with apoptotic events.
