Target Information

The donkey, or ass, is a domesticated equine animal derived from the African wild ass, Equus africanus. It can be classified either as a subspecies of Equus africanus, known as Equus africanus asinus, or as a separate species, Equus asinus. Donkeys have been employed as working animals for at least 5,000 years.
