Target Information

Clostridium sporogenes is a Gram-positive bacterium belonging to the Clostridium genus. Like other Clostridium strains, it is an anaerobic, rod-shaped bacterium that produces oval, subterminal endospores. Clostridium sporogenes is commonly used as a surrogate for C. botulinum in testing the efficacy of commercial sterilization processes.
