Target Information
In chicken, luteinising hormone (LH) is one of the main endocrine factors that regulate eg-laying. Its synthesis and release is stimulated by GnRH and two types (cGnRH-I and cGnRH-II). It stimulates the conversion of cholesterol to 17α-hydroxypregnenolone, which is converted to the main gonadal steroids, including oestradiol (E2) and testosterone.
