Target Information

In chickens, the CLDN1 gene encodes Claudin 1. The primary constituents of tight junction proteins include occludin, tricellulin, and claudins. Within the chicken intestinal epithelium, the expressions of Claudin-1, -3, -5, cldn-16, ZO-1, and ZO-2 have been observed. Claudins such as -1, -3, -4, -5, -7, and -19 are recognized for their pore-sealing properties.
