Target Information
The Type-1 Angiotensin II Receptor (AT1) is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) that plays a crucial role in the renin-angiotensin system. Type-1 Angiotensin II Receptor is encoded by the AGTR1 gene in chicken. AGTR1 is involved in most of the known physiological effects of angiotensin II. AGTR1 contains the seven transmembrane domains characteristic of the G protein-coupled receptor superfamily and is found on many cell types in angiotensin II target organs.
