Target Information
WASH complex subunit 1 (WASHC1), also known as WASH1, is a protein involved in several cellular processes. The Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome protein and scar homologue complex (WASH complex) is a complex that includes the subunits WASH1, FAM21, SWIP, Strumpellin and CCDC53. WASH1 is a nucleation promoting factor (NPF) that activates the Arp2/3 complex to regulate branched actin networks on endosome subdomains.
