Specifications
Target Information
SLC6A3, also known as Dopamine Transporter (DAT1), is a protein-coding gene that encodes the dopamine transporter. This transporter is a member of the sodium- and chloride-dependent neurotransmitter transporter family. The SLC6A3 gene encodes the dopamine transporter (DAT), which regulates the reuptake of dopamine through an active transport mechanism that depends on sodium. This process helps to control the amount of dopamine in the extracellular space and maintain adequate levels of dopamine inside cells.
