Target Information

Translationally-controlled tumor protein (TCTP) is involved in calcium binding and microtubule stabilization. In mice, TCTP has complex and varied roles, including promoting cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival, as well as regulating the cell cycle, tumor suppression, and immune response. Research has demonstrated that TCTP enhances cell proliferation and survival in mouse tissues. For instance, gene knockout studies have identified TCTP as a crucial factor for cell proliferation and survival in specific tissues or cell types. Additionally, TCTP is highly expressed in the uterus during mouse embryonic development, suggesting its significant role in the embryo implantation process.
