Natriuretic Peptides B (BNP), also known as brain natriuretic peptide, is a protein that plays a significant role in assessing heart function. BNP is produced by the heart and blood vessels. Bovine Natriuretic Peptides B is encoded by the NPPB gene in cattle. It has been demonstrated that, in vitro, NPPA, NPPB and NPPC stimulate oocyte meiotic resumption in a monovular species.
