Target Information

Immunoglobulin E is a member of the immunoglobulins, which are composed of gene products from both the immunoglobulin heavy and light chain loci. IgE is primarily involved in the allergic response. IgE is present in its soluble form in equine serum, and physiological concentrations of total IgE are approximately 1000-fold higher in normal equine serum than in normal human serum.
