Target Information

Bovine DNA Mismatch Repair Protein Msh2 is encoded by the MSH2 gene in cattle. It is a crucial component of the DNA mismatch repair (MMR) system. It forms two essential heterodimers: MutSα (MSH2-MSH6 heterodimer) and MutSβ (MSH2-MSH3 heterodimer). Together, these complexes ensure accurate DNA replication and prevent mutations. It was found that the expression levels of MSH2 significantly decreased in BLV-infected cattle with lymphoma.
