Target Information

Progesterone is an endogenous steroid sex hormone secreted by the ovaries of cows. Corpus luteum appears to be the most important source of progesterone throughout bovine pregnancy. Progesterone plays important roles in pregnancy maintenance, expression of estrus, normal cyclic function, and in hypophyseal-gonad interrelationships.
