Target Information
Lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) is a phospholipid derivative that can act as a signaling molecule. LPA acts as a potent mitogen, meaning it stimulates cell division and growth. It achieves this by activating three high-affinity G-protein-coupled receptors called LPAR1, LPAR2, and LPAR3 (also known as EDG2, EDG4, and EDG7). Research has shown that LPA can accelerate bovine in vitro-produced blastocyst formation through the Hippo/YAP pathway.
