Coagulation Factor XII (FXII), also known as Hageman factor, is a plasma protein involved in the intricate process of blood clotting. Bovine Coagulation Factor XII is encoded by the F12 gene in cattle. It is produced and secreted by the liver. FXII may become a pharmacological target to reduce the risk of arterial thrombosis and promote cellular repair after injury without affecting hemostasis.
