Target Information
The Follicle-Stimulating Hormone Receptor (FSHR) is a transmembrane receptor that interacts with the follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). Follicle-Stimulating Hormone Receptor is encoded by the FSHR gene in pigs. FSHR may be involved in early folliculogenesis in the pig, which begins during prenatal life. The regulation of FSHR mRNA and protein expression in neonatal porcine ovaries after maternal exposure to flutamide confirms that androgens play a critical role in early stages of porcine folliculogenesis.
