Target Information
Electron Transfer Flavoprotein Subunit Beta (ETFB) is a subunit of electron transfer flavoprotein (ETF). ETF is responsible for transferring electrons from primary flavoprotein dehydrogenases involved in mitochondrial fatty acid and amino acid catabolism to the membrane-associated electron transfer flavoprotein ubiquinone oxidoreductase. Bovine Electron Transfer Flavoprotein Subunit Beta is encoded by the ETFB gene in cattle. It is known as an important electron acceptor in energy metabolism. It plays an important role in renal tubular cell apoptosis during the progression of diabetic nephropathy.
