Target Information

Melatonin is a hormone that plays a role in sleep and helps regulate circadian rhythms. It is a hormone produced by the pineal gland in the brain. It plays a crucial role in sleep-wake cycles. Melatonin levels are higher at night and lower in bright daylight. Typically, melatonin production increases in the evening after sunset. Melatonin and other indoles show antiviral activity against porcine coronaviruses in vitro at pharmacological concentrations.
