Target Information
The zebrafish genome harbors ten genes encoding class II cytokine-like peptides, among which the two most closely related to mammalian interferon gamma (IFN-gamma) are termed IFN-gamma1 and IFN-gamma2. Studies indicate that the counterparts to the mammalian interferon-dependent defense mechanisms against viral and bacterial infections are active in zebrafish embryos. These findings suggest that zebrafish IFN-gamma1 and IFN-gamma2 perform functions analogous to those of mammalian IFN-gamma.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with dry ice. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store for 4 weeks at 2-8°C, for 12 months at -80°C.
